Biography:
My earliest memories are of the Air Force Academy in Colorado, where
I recall inadvertently sitting on a cactus plant (ouch!).
I spent my boyhood years in Colorado and Nebraska, while spending my teen years in England and upstate New York.
I became a Christian when I was 30 years old. One of my favorite verses
is found in Romans chapter 10, verse 9: "...that if you confess with
your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;" (NASB)
I now live in the mountains of the United States with my wife and four mountaineers.
Interests:
I like to climb (hike up or ride a chair lift) mountains. I have been to the French Alps, the American Rockies and some smaller mountains in between.
I used to teach my children at home, but now they have more fun in school.
I have enjoyed developing software, including writing Visual Basic programs for my kids at home.
I have also done software development for the Army, Navy and Air
Force - including Visual Basic with Explorer-style interfaces, and web-based applications.
I once wrote an innovative COBOL text and accompanying software for
use especially with Micro Focus COBOL (now obsolete).
